Karthik Deivasigamani is Chief Architect at Noon Academy, leading their efforts to build a social learning platform. Earlier at Walmart Labs, he was instrumental in developing a product knowledge graph for Walmart eCommerce to help customers discover products easily. He has also spent considerable time at Yahoo! working on their homepage and content recommendation systems.
Sean Ren is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at USC and a Research Team Lead at USC Information Sciences Institute (ISI). At USC CS, Xiang is also the PI of the Intelligence and Knowledge Discovery (INK) Research Lab. Sean is also a member of the USC NLP Group, USC Machine Learning Center, and ISI Center on Knowledge Graphs. Sean served as a part-time Data Science Advisor at Snapchat in 2018. Prior to USC, Sean was a visiting researcher at Stanford University and received PhD in Computer Science from UIUC.
Zhe Wu is a distinguished engineer in the Search team at eBay. He focuses on search quality and is leveraging structured data and knowledge graph to improve the search engine that powers eBay’s marketplace. Zhe has publications in ISWC, WWW, AAAI, VLDB, ICDE, JCST, CP, ICTAI, ASAP, and more. He has over seventeen US/International patents granted. Zhe received his PhD in computer science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2001.
Mike Dillinger, Ph. D is Technical Lead for Taxonomies and Ontologies at LinkedIn. Before that, he was Technical Lead for LinkedIn’s and eBay’s first machine translation systems, an independent consultant specialized in deploying translation technologies for Fortune 500 companies, and President of the Association for Machine Translation in the Americas. He has also taught at more than a dozen universities in several countries, and was a visiting researcher on four continents.
Song Cui is currently the tech lead focusing on taxonomy at Pinterest. He drives the efforts in building and updating the knowledge graph at Pinterest, integrating the knowledge graph with downstream content classification models, and adopting knowledge graph in various verticals in Pinterest. Before he joined Pinterest, he was a Principal Investigator in Singapore and postdoc scholar at Stanford with the research focus in computer vision and healthcare related machine learning applications. He got his Ph. D in EE from Nanyang Technological University and has over 10+ peer-reviewed journals and conferences such as ECCV.
Rui Li is an engineer manager at Pinterest, leading a team focusing on building Pinterest’s Interest Graph and content/query classification which are widely adopted by the company. She has been working in CV, NLP and ML in industry for 10+ years. She was a tech lead at eBay who built eBay’s first Knowledge Graph for product metadata. She has received her Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Riverside. Rui has publications in ISWC, WWW, TOMCCAP, etc and several US patents.Â
